At Your Halal Compass, trust is our primary coordinate. We understand that finding Halal food and prayer spaces is a matter of religious importance and personal peace of mind. Here is how we keep our community safe and our information reliable.

1. Verification Tiers

To help you navigate with confidence, we use two badge levels:

• Halal Certified: The establishment holds a valid certificate from BPJPH (Kemenag) or LPPOM MUI that we have verified.
• Verified: The listing has been reviewed and confirmed active, but certification documentation was not available at time of review.

2. Our Review Process

Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. We check certification status against BPJPH and LPPOM MUI records where possible. We do not tolerate:

• Fraudulent listings: Businesses claiming Halal status without verifiable documentation.
• Misleading information: Incorrect addresses, hours, or photos that misrepresent the establishment.

3. Reporting Inaccuracies

Halal status can change due to new ownership, supplier changes, or expired certificates. If you find a listing that is no longer accurate:

• Contact us via our contact page with the listing name and what's incorrect.
• We review and update reported listings as soon as possible — typically within a few business days.

4. Data Security

Your personal information—especially your location data used to find nearby food—is encrypted. We do not sell your data to third parties. We only use it to improve your "Compass" experience.

5. Disclaimer of Religious Responsibility

While we do our utmost to verify, Your Halal Compass is a discovery tool, not a legislative body. The final decision to consume or use a service remains the responsibility of the individual. When in doubt, always ask to see a physical certificate.
